Later, Chris returns from Indianapolis to become Pawnee's acting city manager, while Ben also takes a job in Pawnee. After weeks of planning, the festival becomes a tremendous success through Leslie's efforts. Leslie makes a deal with Chris and Ben to bring back the Pawnee Harvest Festival, but if the festival fails the Parks Department will be eliminated. The third season opens with the Pawnee government reopened, but with budget cuts frustrating Leslie's attempts to provide services. Meanwhile, a crippling budget deficit leads state auditors Chris Traeger and Ben Wyatt to shut down the Pawnee government temporarily. Mark leaves his city hall career for a private sector job and is never seen, heard from, or even referenced on the show again. Andy became injured and works with Leslie to threaten to sue the city of Pawnee unless the pit was filled. In the second season, the pit is eventually filled in because Leslie takes it upon herself to fill in the pit without permission, not realizing Andy was in the pit. Leslie and her staff, including her assistant Tom Haverford and intern April Ludgate, try encouraging community interest in the pit project, but meet resistance. City planner Mark Brendanawicz – for whom Leslie harbors romantic feelings – pragmatically insists the project is unrealistic due to government red tape, but nevertheless secretly convinces Ron to approve the project. Leslie promises to turn the pit into a park, despite resistance from the parks director Ron Swanson, an anti-government libertarian. Local nurse Ann Perkins demands the construction pit beside her house created by an abandoned condo development be filled in after her boyfriend, Andy Dwyer, fell in and broke both legs. The first season focuses on Leslie Knope, the deputy director of the Parks and Recreation Department in the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana. In 2013, after receiving four consecutive nominations in the category, Parks and Recreation won the Television Critics Association Award for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy. #Parks and recreation freddy spaghetti middle of the night series#In Time 's 2012 year-end lists issue, Parks and Recreation was named the number one television series of that year. Throughout its run, Parks and Recreation received several awards and nominations, including 14 Primetime Emmy Award nominations (two for Outstanding Comedy Series), a Golden Globe Award win for Poehler's performance, and a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy. The series received mixed reviews during its first season (including comparisons to The Office, a sitcom also produced by Daniels and Schur), but, after a re-approach to its tone and format, the second and subsequent seasons were widely acclaimed. Parks and Recreation was part of NBC's " Comedy Night Done Right" programming during its Thursday night prime-time block. Real-life political figures have cameos in later episodes such as John McCain, Michelle Obama, and Joe Biden. The writing staff incorporated current events into the episodes, such as a government shutdown in Pawnee inspired by the real-life global financial crisis of 2007–08. Leslie Knope underwent major changes after the first season, in response to audience feedback that the character seemed unintelligent and "ditzy". The writers researched local California politics for the series, and consulted with urban planners and elected officials. The ensemble and supporting cast features Rashida Jones as Ann Perkins, Paul Schneider as Mark Brendanawicz, Aziz Ansari as Tom Haverford, Nick Offerman as Ron Swanson, Aubrey Plaza as April Ludgate, Chris Pratt as Andy Dwyer, Adam Scott as Ben Wyatt, Rob Lowe as Chris Traeger, Jim O'Heir as Garry "Jerry" Gergich, Retta as Donna Meagle, and Billy Eichner as Craig Middlebrooks. The series stars Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope, a perky, mid-level bureaucrat in the Parks Department of Pawnee, a fictional town in Indiana. A special reunion episode aired on April 30, 2020. The series aired on NBC from April 9, 2009, to February 24, 2015, for 125 episodes, over seven seasons. And, to Diego, what always moves him the most is hunger and education. Also with the help of Natalia (Simeone), Diego, such. And the truth is that I told him when we started: “With the image you have, why don’t we do something of our own?” You have to commit. Diego and I have been together for almost nine years and always, I don’t know, I have a very supportive vocation. It is created as a party atmosphere, as we come together for a good cause and that we are all in the same boat, to help the people who need it most. They only have words of affection, of admiration. Unlike a FlowField, where data is extracted from tables, a Normal field enables you to extract data from other objects such as queries. If you use a Normal field, you'll typically add the logic that calculates the Cue data to an AL trigger or method. If you base the Cue on a FlowField, add the logic that calculates the data for the Cue to the CalcFormula property of the FlowField. FlowFields versus normal fieldsĪ Cue can be based on a FlowField or Normal field. Other data types aren't supported and won't display in a Cue. You can only base Cues on integer and decimal data types. The Caption and CaptionML properties of the cuegroup control are ignored when the layout is wide. The wide layout is only supported in the Web client. The wide layout is specified by setting the CuegroupLayout property to wide. So, it's good practice to place Cue groups that use the wide layout, above those Cues that use the normal layout. Wide groups that are placed after normal groups will behave just like the normal layout groups. However, wide groups that precede all normal groups will appear in their own section of the workspace, spanning the entire width - providing space for the large values. Wide and normal Cue groups can be interleaved. The wide layout gives you a way emphasize a group of Cues. The wide layout is designed to display large values, such as monetary values. With this layout, Cue groups are automatically arranged to fill in the width of the workspace, which means there can be more than one group horizontally across the workspace. The normal layout displays Cues as tiles. There are two layout options that influence how Cues appear in the client: normal and wide. This data can be raw data or calculated data. Cues display data that is contained in a table field. Cues are interactive, meaning that you can select the Cue to drill down to data or open another page, run code, and more. Designing CuesĪ Cue provides a visual representation of aggregated business data, like the number of open sales invoices. Modifying actions in Cue groups on page extensions isn't supported. Give it the name sbt packageBin and save it:īy selecting that tool, you’ll create an executable in target/scala-2.10/helloWorld_2.10-1.0.jar that can be run with the scala command (which sets up paths properly for you). If you want to create a jar file that can be run independently of Eclipse, go to Run > External Tools > External Tool Configurations and in the Main tab, under Location fill in where you put the sbt script file (in my case, /usr/local/bin/sbt), under Working Directory enter $, and under argument enter packageBin. With a more complicated Scala main that accepts command line arguments, you can add those into the Run/Debug setting, too. You should see “Hello world!” in Eclipse’s Console. Select OK and then when you run, use that launch configuration. Eclipse can’t understand the Scala main signature, so you can’t select HelloWorld from the pop-up, you have to type it by hand. setting, and in the main tab put HelloWorld as the Main class. I created a /usr/local directory years ago and am not sure if it exists on a stock Mac system. I assume you are comfortable with the Mac/UNIX command line, since you’re going to be programming. Unfortunately, the second problem remains, so I’m writing this posting to document how I got Scala working on a Mac, with Eclipse and SBT (Simple Build Tool) in a way that everything works from Eclipse and also that I can generate JAR files that work as well. Scala totally eliminates the first problem: it’s Java done right. Over the years, two things have kept me from adopting Java: 1) Java makes you do too much work and has too many seams - the seams hurt my head - and 2) the Java tool chain is fussy and hard to get right. Clojure is tempting - I love Lisp - but ultimately, Scala won out. I wanted to adopt a language that runs on the JVM (Java, Scala, Clojure, Groovie, et al) that’s fun to use, but deep. I still really like R and use it every day, but it’s not a great choice for a general-purpose programming language.
